Show Summary
This event will feature over 25 top hair entertainers (mostly from metro Detroit) and over 200 hair models in a variety of stage presentations based on the “Motown” theme, which will involve music, cars and hair stars. Another Detroit culture, Jit Dancing, will also be showcased inside the production.
During half-time, several Detroit hair legends will be receiving the Hair Wars Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by Detroit bassist Kern Brantley (Lady Gaga’s current bass player) funkin’ it up down the runway to kick off the 2nd half of the show.
Hair Wars encourages the audience to dress up and wear their hair like they belong on stage, creating several ‘Side Shows’ at the show.
Prior to the show, there will be a Natural Hair Class (3:30 – 5 p.m.), also at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. The educator will be Rob Willis, Director of Education for Universal Beauty Products, Inc.
To cap off the evening, a ‘Meet & Greet After Glow’ will take place at the nearby Moose’s Martini Pub at 22217 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. (21 & up).
