Mattice Beauty Supply is a Black owned, Woman owned, and Veteran owned hair and Beauty supply store. We carry wigs, weaving hair, braiding hair, bundles, hair products for every hair texture, make up and many other products for your hair and beauty needs. We are also happy to carry LOCAL and BLACK owned brands in our store. Many of these are black owned and some are from black woman owned businesses right here in Pierce County.
Community conference room available to rent by vendors or instructors for classes. We have a wide variety of classes available like, painting, soap making, candle making, braiding classes and more.
Our most used word in this store is “Pivot”. After opening an entire yaer late due to covid, having to pay rent an entire year in an empty space and battling life changing medical issues; our story of still being here is a tumultuous one. However, we still believed in our original goal of being a BLACK owned Beauty Supply Store. We are currently the only black owned beauty supply store in Tacoma, Washington. The story of “getting” into the industry is true in the case that black folks arent welcomed into it to succeed.
So we knew we had to do something different; we strive to support other black owned businesses in the industry instead. Currently, our store has 16 black owned companies in stock including Barry Fletcher Hair products, U Go Girl braiding hair and ponytails, and local black soap maker Sunflower Soul Apothecary.
