Congratulations to the four Northern Virginia gold medal winners at the 3rd annual Prince William County NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological & Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Started in 1978, ACT-SO is a year-long academic enrichment program culminating in 33 competitions for high school students covering STEM, Business, Humanities, Performing, Visual and Culinary Arts. 13 students from Northern Virginia competed in a variety of competitions including Entrepreneurship, Playwriting, Short Story, Music Instrumental Classical and Contemporary, Oratory, Music Vocal Classical and Contemporary, and Dance both Contemporary and Traditional. Three students, who won Gold medals, will be traveling to the ACT-SO National competition in Las Vegas, NV, July 11-14, 2024.
